Collection: Recovery Equipment

There are two main approaches to building a four-wheel-drive (4WD) recovery kit: purchasing a complete kit or buying individual components. A full kit is convenient, while assembling your own allows for customisation based on your vehicle's weight and the terrain you'll encounter.

  • Recovery boards: Traction devices like   provide a solid surface to drive on, helping you get unstuck in low-traction situations.
  • Winch: An electric winch, often housed in a bull bar, is critical for self-recovery or for pulling other vehicles out of trouble.
  • Straps and shackles: Snatch straps or kinetic ropes, along with bow or soft shackles, are used with a winch or another vehicle to create a powerful, safe recovery system.
  • Shovel and jack: A long-handled shovel is a simple but effective tool for digging out stuck tyres, while a Hi-Lift jack is useful for lifting your vehicle in uneven terrain.
